A spectacular retail extravaganza sweeps through Hampton Roads this coming April, to honor retailers all over Virginia. Starting a business is not a simple task, the market is challenging and the obstacles retailers face are difficult. It takes more than the ordinary entrepreneur to succeed in this competitive industry. Retailers deserve to be recognized for outstanding customer service and devotion to their community.
It’s time to bring Hollywood to Hampton Roads for a dazzling award show unlike anything you have ever been to before! Which A-list retailer will take home the prestigious award this year?
On the evening of Friday, April 25, Retail Alliance members and guests will be treated to the glitz and glamour of a Hollywood awards program at the Norfolk Half Moone Cruise Center at the inaugural Retailer of the Year Gala Event. Roll out the red carpet and bring your shades because the flash bulbs from the paparazzi can be blinding!
Fifty-four area retailers have been nominated for Retailer of the Year in this first-ever event. All will be honored, several will be awarded honors for excellence in retailing and one will be named Retailer of the Year.
This is an evening not to be missed... from elegant dining to an inspiring keynote speaker and a fabulous silent auction...all in gala fashion.
Nominees have been nominated for their creativity, business acumen, retail success, or ability to thrive in a tough economy. All the nominees have great stories to tell and are exceptional. Judges will be making selections based on business growth, financial strength and stability, community involvement and other criteria.
All Retail Alliance members will receive invitations and tickets are required. Seating is limited. Tickets are $43 each; reserved tables of eight are available for $350.
